Meetings and migraines must be very good friends. They always seem to make an appearance together. They’re like a dastardly duo, working together to make your head feel like a glass balloon – you feel so full of pressure and ready to crack. We’ve all been there.
Between deadline drama and a hectic work schedule, sometimes it’s difficult to have your head feeling clear. You can search for “how to cure migraines” and get the same old wives’ tales, and still get nowhere.
I know, I know: “Suck it up, we’ve all been there”. But you know, some people suffer from migraines far worse than others. A simple pill can’t anaesthetise a tension headache all the time… and you can’t always bring a hot waterbottle, as much as I’d love to.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the PURE Christmas managers’ meeting at Ocean Terminal. As Digital Marketing Executive for the company, I needed to keep my ears pricked for anything I can support online… though, between massaging my sinuses and neck muscles, this wasn’t exactly an easy job. Sometimes the nasty little migraines just won’t budge.
But then again, our spa managers are just as unyielding. Marie-Claire, resident spa manager for Ocean Terminal, vanished for a moment then returned with some Elemis Instant Refreshing Gel. “Try this,” she added, though honestly I was critical.
Although it didn’t completely remedy the pain, I’d imagine it being a great soother before bed or after a bath. If you fancy trying it out, indulge yourself in your own Elemis Instant Refreshing
Gel at our webshop. After applying it to my migraine zones – the back of my neck and the temples of my head – I was surprised that it actually worked.
Perhaps it was the menthol, but it felt similar to using a vapo-rub. It was tingly and a great distraction from the pain (which also helps kill the migraine).
