Guest Post: Tanya Burr Reviews REN Skincare

Another guest post today from the wonderfully popular beauty guru Tanya Burr who is best known for her amazing blog and youtube channel giving advice and reviews on all things beauty and fashion. Here are her thoughts on the REN Skincare sensitive range…

For the past 3 weeks I have been trialling out the Sensitive range from REN. I love my regular skincare products but felt like trying something new and trying just one brand for 3 weeks at least. I was eager to try a range from REN, as when I was younger I worked at a skin spa which sold the products and I always remember the ingredients being wonderfully natural, which is a huge plus for me as I much prefer to put natural products on my skin, especially with skincare. I wasn’t planning on blogging about this experiment, however I love the products so much I think that as a “beauty guru” – it is my job to tell you guys about them! I am going to write about my top three products from the range – the ones that really stood out to me as amazing.

Hydra Calm Cleansing Milk
So what did I think of the cleanser? It is gentle but don’t make the mistake of thinking that “gentle” means “doesn’t remove makeup” – as this cleanser gently but surely removed all my makeup each night bar a bit of mascara and eyeliner. I had to use a little bit of eye makeup remover to get the final dregs of eye makeup off. I have been using this morning and night and it has left my skin feeling clean and smooth, never starved of moisture. I suffer from redness on my face and this definitely calmed my skin a little and reduced irritation.

F10 Smooth And Renew Mask
Now I feel seriously excited to write about this product – I love it!! It is formulated to “gently exfoliate and detoxify” – that phrase just sounds so spa-like and idyllic to me, but most importantly it actually works. I have been using this twice a week, it has a very strange marmalade-like consistency – but I am not complaining because after leaving this on my skin for 10mins my face looks brighter and my skin tone is more even! I used this at night and noticed the effects big time in the morning – it was like I had had a facial at a spa.

Jojoba Microbead Purifying Facial Polish
Now I knew I would love this product as it is so similar to one of the only facial polishes I like, the Laura Mercier one. I am not a fan of using a heavy duty scrub on my face as I think it is way too abrasive and unnecessary. However, Jojoba beads are so so gentle and almost creamy, they melt on your skin and definitely do not scratch the surface (as some scrubs can do). This product will help with cell turnover – really important to keep your skin looking bright and healthy.
