As part of our year-long celebration of our new spa on West Nile Street, Glasgow, we ran a competition to offer one lucky customer an entire #YearofPURE!
This month, Louise joined us for our Spring Beauty Sensation offer this month, enjoying a Sun-Believable spray tan and Shellac pedicure in time for her weekend away!
So, how did Louise get on?
written by Louise:
The mornings are slightly brighter and the evenings are slightly longer which can only mean one thing…summer is coming!
Panic has set in because I am still a pasty shade of translucent following the long winter months and when (if) the warmer weather arrives, I won’t be able to hide under the long sleeves and 80 denier tights I am so fond of.
Something that can make this prospect of shedding some of the layers of cosy clothing a little less terrifying is a spray tan.
As a pale person, I have done my research over the years in the quest for the perfect streak free, sunless tan so I was looking forward to trying out the Leighton Denny Sun-Believable tan for the first time.
As recommended by the therapists,I did a little prep at home the day before by exfoliating, the treatment promises a golden glow lasting up to one week so I wanted to prolong the effects by prepping my own skin beforehand.
The next day, I went to what is now becoming my second home, PURE Spa & Beauty on West Nile Street. It’s easy to get to after work, and makes the best ending to a long week! And, okay, yes, it is absolutely glorious that PURE treats me to monthly freebies, but I promise you it’s worth it.
I am pleased to report the tan developed into a lovely bronzed glow as described, with no orange tones and a subtle scent. It doesn’t smell too artificial like a lot of other spray tans of ‘fake bake’ style products.
The sun-kissed look was perfect for my pale skin tone and gave an even, healthy looking tan that looked natural. I might even go so far as to describe it as radiant!
In addition to the Leighton Denny Sun-Believable tan, I had a Shellac pedicure. You’ve all heard about Shellac so I won’t go into too much detail. If you haven’t heard of it though, it’s essentially a hard-wearing polish, and is ideal for my feet which I often neglect! It’s the best foot treatment for lazy girls!
Tanned and pedicured, I’m ready to dig out my flip flops and show a wee bit of skin. Fingers crossed for a heat wave this summer… and at least a good weekend away!
