Can you believe that PURE West Nile Street has been open for over half a year now? Oh, how time flies. We’re all getting wrinkles! Just kidding, we moisturise. A lot.
Speaking of maintaining excellent skincare rituals, this month our #YearofPURE winner was booked in for an Elemis Advanced Spa Facial of her choice. Which facial did Louise go for?
written by Louise:
After a long and stressful week at work, I was really excited to try my next treatment at PURE West Nile Street (my new home away from home when it comes to relaxing after work).
This month, I was treated to the choice of an Elemis Advanced Spa Facial of my choice. Being treated to a facial in their spa area was luxury enough, so all I had to choose was the right facial. There were four on offer…
- Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift (anti-ageing)
- Elemis Skin Solutions (blemished, sensitive skin)
- Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing (resurfacing)
- Visible Brilliance (hydration and elasticity)
If you’re anything like me, you’ll be looking at all of these going “can I have them all?” Thankfully, my therapist talked me through each and we decided on the Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift. Each facial delivers overall results, though we felt it was best suited for my skin.
This was undoubtedly the most indulgent beauty treatment I have had. It was 60 minutes of sheer bliss. One of the most enjoyable things about this treatment is that it includes really relaxing massage elements — not only facial massage but neck, shoulders, arms and hands are included.
The focus of the treatment is anti-ageing and it claims to to ‘reduce wrinkles by 94% and improve skin firmness by 57%’.
I can safely say that the following morning, I noticed a significant difference to the tone and texture of my skin. Make up was applied more easily and seemed to stay on longer throughout the day. The fine lines usually visible around my eyes thanks to my dehydrated skin, were less obvious.
The Elemis products used in this treatment smell incredible but also work deep into the skin and I’m pleased to say the effects of the treatment were evident for days afterwards.
I highly recommend this facial if you have a big event coming up and want to revive tired skin or want to relax but treat yourself to more than just a massage.
In the spirit of full-disclosure (so you know this review is genuine!) I did experience some slight irritation afterwards but, as we discovered, I have a specific reaction to one of the essential oils used in the exfoliation.
These things *do* happen to unlucky people like me, but I was prescribed some fantastic after-care and the irritation went away quite quickly.
If you’re also prone to some slight irritation, try out Elemis Daily Redness Solution (£53.00). It is a life-saver and worth the investment.
